I really think I've said enough, but the site doesn't let me post it, so I'll go on with the obvious facts that it's a popular song, it is about the new year, it can create mood and atmosphere at your December lessons. Although for most of my students it comes as a surprise that the song isn't as cheerful as it had seemed to them.
